The Atmosphere Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that develops community-based renewable energy projects in partnership with nonprofit organizations, schools and faith based organizations nationwide. With the help of community members, donors and partners, The Atmosphere Conservancy is able to leverage financial resources to build solar projects for our nonprofit clients. We also work with our for profit partner, Solaris Energy, to use all the resources available to the nonprofit and for profit sectors to develop solar energy efficiently and affordably. Through solar energy projects, The Atmosphere Conservancy is merging the environmental impact of clean energy with the economic impact of cost savings for nonprofits allowing them to spend more money on their mission and service to the community. The Atmosphere Conservancy is committed to bringing clean energy to communities throughout the country, providing economic, social and environmental impacts. By supporting the Atmosphere Conservancy, you can help raise awareness of the economic, social and environmental benefits of energy-efficiency and renewable energy technologies.
The impacts of climate change are becoming increasingly visible to all as severe weather, rising sea levels and rapidly changing ecosystems impact communities globally. Breathing clean air, looking at clear skies, and valuing our natural environment is important to everyone, and building solar energy projects in our communities is one of the best ways to ensure that the worst effects of climate change and pollution from fossil fuels are minimized.
By focusing on renewable energy, we focus on disengaging from fossil fuels and renewing our communities. Utilizing the naturally replenished power of the sun allows us to tap into an ongoing source of energy for our children, and our children’s children. The Atmosphere Conservancy knows that renewable energy is not only good for the environment, it is good for communities, and our economy.
With the help of community members, donors and for profit partners, The Atmosphere Conservancy develops creative financing strategies for community-based organizations that want to power their communities through solar. By joining forces with our partner Solaris Energy we help nonprofits take advantage of tax credits that would otherwise be unavailable to them. This unique approach results in substantial cost reduction for the organization and a smaller carbon footprint for the whole community.
